A Topographical Dictionary of Ireland (Lewis, 1837)
•St. Anne's Shandon was part of the ancient parish of Shandon. Other components of Shandon included St. Mary and St. Paul. The North Infirmary is next to the churchyard of St. Anne's. Father Prout (Rev. Francis Sylvester O'Mahoney) wrote the poem 'The Bells of Shandon' for Shandon Church.
