History and Description

A Topographical Dictionary of Ireland (Lewis, 1837)

This parish has historically been called Iveleary.

Three Gneeves is between Derreenabourky, Scrahanmore, Coomdorragha, and Gortnaloughra.

Gougane Barra is not a townland but is a location renowned for its beauty. It is located near Derreennacusha.

Boylesgrove was the residence of the Boyles. It was located in the townland of Dromcarra South. See landed estates.

There are two places called Lackabaun. One is in the barony of West Muskerry and district of Macroom. On the Cork Gen map, this is located at the upper left. The other is in the barony of East Carbery and district of Dunmanway. On the map, this is located near the lower right.

Bawn Na Teampeall is not in the official townlands, but is located west of Augeris. In the Tithe Applotment, the landlords were Townsend and Milliphant. It is not clear to what electoral division residents there would belong.
